| Description | A water-based coating that combines the gloss, clarity and weathering characteristics found in acrylics with the toughness and durability of epoxies. It also complies with VOC anti-smog ordinances. |
| Uses | Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic Sealer may be used as a sealer for indoor and outdoor roof, deck, tile & marble, skylights, concrete, terrazzo, and stone or clay tile. The built in resistance to ponding water and oils make it the right product for roofs, decks, warehouses, concrete garages, etc. Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic Sealer exceeds the Coefficient of Friction Safety Standard ASTM Designation D-2047. |

Directions: Surface must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed; always use TSP for fast efficient removal of dirt and oils. Pressure was old roofs or decks prior to application. Always test non-Metacrylics® surfaces in an inconspicuous area prior to use.
Applicator: If a spray applicator is desirable, Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic Sealer may be applied with an airless sprayer, a pump up high volume/low pressure sprayer, lamb’s wool applicator pad, or a paint roller. Avoid puddles, all Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic Sealer must be thinly and evenly applied, allow 30 minutes dry time per coat.
Coverages: Two application are always recommended, the 1st coat is a penetrating sealer, the second coat is a protective barrier against UV, water, dirt, fungus, mildew, and staining.
- Decks: 1st Coat @ (¼) .25 gallons/100 sq. ft. – 2nd coat (1/8) .125 gallons/100 sq. ft.
- Roofs: 1st Coat @ (¼) .25 gallons/100 sq. ft. – 2nd coat (1/8) .125 gallons/100 sq. ft.
- Concrete: 1st Coat @ (¼) .25 gallons/100 sq. ft. – 2nd coat (1/8) .125 gallons/100 sq. ft.
- Skylights: 1st Coat @ (¼) .25 gallons/100 sq. ft. – 2nd coat (1/8) .125 gallons/100 sq. ft.
Drying Time at 68° F and 50% relative humidity: Set to touch at 30 minutes. Recoat time 1 to 2 hours. Ready for light traffic in 8 to 12 hours after the final coat. Vehicle or heavy traffic in 2 to 3 days after the final coat. Do not apply if rain or moisture are forecasted with 24 hours of application.
Clean Up: Clean all tools with soap and water immediately after use! Clean hands with a citrus hand cleaner. Cured material may be removed with amyl acetate, hand cleaner, or lacquer thinner. Do not use these materials (except hand cleaner) on bare skin.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children! Avoid contact with eyes and skin! Protect from freezing!
Storage: Store in areas where temperature remains above 40°F. Prior to use agitate for 2-3 minutes by hand or machine. Reseal opened containers. If contents skin, remove skin, agitate, use immediately. If the product has been stored for a months (or years), remove any surface skin that may have developed, stir, and immediately use.
Do Not Apply if rain or freezing weather is imminent within 24 hours following application, or during fog or drizzle. This product is water-based and could wash off if not fully cured.
Do Not Apply when temperatures are consistently below 40° F. The Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic Sealer dries slowly when temperatures are below 55° F. Areas shaded from sunlight dry very slowly. 72 hours or more may be required for proper curing. DO NOT thin or add solvents. PROTECT materials from freezing & extreme heat.
Caution! Wet acrylic is extremely slippery when stepped on. Always use a safety rope on sloped surfaces. STIR the Metacrylics® Clear BASE before any application! The Acrylic Colors, normally, don’t need to be stirred before application. Do not stir the Gel.
