New Plywood deck substrate must be clean. Sweep and or blow any dust or dirt off of the plywood before applying the Metacrylics® roofing system. |
After the Metacrylics® Clear Base has fully cured apply with a sprayer or rollers two coats of Metacrylics® Acrylic White in two separate one gallon applications allowing each application to dry 12 to 48 hours depending on the weather conditions. |
Metacrylics® Energy Efficient Coatings was also applied to the wall areas to ensure a vapor permeable air barrier. The three-course method was used on all transitions and penetrations. |
All of the wall detail area where allowed to cure for 12 to 24 hours before the two final topcoats of one gallon each where applied. |
All walls area where first cleaned of all loose debris to allow for the application of the Metacrylics® Clear base. |
Metacrylics® Energy Efficient Coatings was also applied to the wall areas to ensure a vapor permeable air barrier. The three-course method was used on all transitions and penetrations. |

First coat of spray applied Metacrylics® Acrylic White was applied at one gallon per 100 square feet. |

The structures edges were fully encapsulated using the Metacrylics® Gel and polyester fabric. A single layer of Metacrylics® Gel is applied to the substrate immediately embedding a layer of polyester fabric followed by the final layer of Metacrylics® Gel. |
This fully adhered, energy efficient, Class “A” fire rated project was fully completed from start to finish in five working days. The projects location was in the abundant orchards of the fertile California Central Valley. |
