-
Replace any defective corrugated panels or skylights.
-
Wire brush and remove any flaking rust.
-
Thoroughly pressure wash roof, especially oxidized areas, with a minimum of 3,000 PSI.
-
Apply Clear BASE/Black Acrylic PRIMER @ 1 gal/100 ft² to entire roof surface including penetrations. Allow 4-24 hours cure time.
-
3-COURSE PENETRATION DETAIL (see Metacrylics® Penetration Detail instructions sheet which includes all penetrations, drains, scuppers, flashings, ductworks, & parapets).
-
Usually fasteners are in a straight line where the corrugated sidelaps are. Use Metacrylics® Clear Acrylic BASE (or GEL) and 6 inch Fabric. An alternate method is more time consuming and costly is Metacrylics® 4 inch or 6 inch Peel & Coat. Cover both the fastener and the sidelap. Any endlap fasteners should be covered with only a 4 inch or 6 inch square, if the entire endlap were covered, then the water would not have an exit if the panel should get a leak.
-
Apply Metacrylics® Acrylic WHITE in 2 applications @ 2 gal/SQ each application; also, apply to all parapet walls, flashings, and ductworks. Allow 24-48 hours cure time between applications.
